- Maldives is a 100% Muslim country
As most of the people does not know- the famous holiday destination is a 100% Muslim country. The locals follow strict Islamic laws and faithful in their religion- meaning that there will restrictions and laws to follow.
Alcohol, bathing suits and public displays of affection are illegal in the native community. However these are allowed in resorts and you have your full privacy.
- The isolation of the resorts
Each and every resort is located on its very own island. The beaches and the waters are all yours to explore. From the 2000 isles over 100 islands are now developed as resorts. Luxurious getaways here are what dreams are made of.

As I mentioned before 99% of the Maldives is sea. You can only dream of the marine life that awaits you under the blues. With numerous dive spots including underwater caves, ship wrecks and diverse marine life. You are guaranteed to witness turtles, manta rays, dolphins and whale sharks.
Each and every house reef in the Maldives is made up of corals and is a snorkeling heaven. There has to be arguably 3000 reefs and lagoons in the Maldives. Do the math and you would just imagine of all the beauty that lies under those famous turquoise blue waters.
- Maldives has a rich history with a unique tradition
This is something most of the travelers does not know. If you are a traveler who seeks to dig up a little bit of history along the way then the Maldives has a lot to offer.
The Maldivians has been living on the islands located just below Sri Lanka for more than 2000 years as history states. Proof? The great Roman Empire ( 100 A.D) has received gifts from the Maldives then known as the kings islands to remark the bond between the two communities.
